"Missing Sugars in our Diet Can Heal Us"

When most people think about essential sugars they think about table sugar, sucrose which is made up of many glucose monosaccharides in a chain. Another abundant sugar in our diet is galactose which is found in milk and dairy foods. But did you know that there are 6 other essential sugars that we are not eating everyday.

All 8 of these sugars known as glyconutrients are responsible for cell to cell communication in our bodies. Without them all type of disease occurs because our cells lack t he ability to recognize our own cells. Poor communication between cells occurs because these sugars are missing on the surface of our cells. Every body process that protects and heals us involve cell to cell transmissions. "Six Basic Nutrients for a Healthy Body"

Nutrients are essential for growth, immune function, repair and maintenance of the body. The six basic nutrients that the body needs are water, carbohydrates, fats, protein, vitamins and minerals. It is these substances that provide the body with its basic needs.

Water is perhaps the most important nutrient in the body and accounts for 2/3 of our body weight. Without water we could only live for approximately 3 days. All of the body's cells contain water; even our bones, which are one-fourth water. Water is found in nearly every food and beverage we consume but we rarely think about its importance. When the body is not receiving the amount of water it needs, pain is more pronounced. According to the experts, we should drink at least eight 8oz glasses of water a day.
